These designs for Octillery and Remoraid were so much better in my opinion.

Pokemon Fun Fact: Until the very end of development of Gold and Silver, Mantine, Octillery, and Remoraid were all based directly on weapons: A submarine, a tank, and a gun. Right before release, they were edited to remove these elements; whether this was censorship is unknown.

Played a modified Solo Run on Pokemon Crystal, and beat the game with just a Remoraid/Octillery. My favorite bit: busting an illegal slowpoke tail smuggling operation using only a r̶e̶v̶o̶l̶v̶e̶r̶ Remoraid.

I never noticed until today that after Crystal, they apparently stopped having Remoraid in with the sprites and models for Mantine.
