I strayed from the original composition coz I really wanted Sita to have a strong role

In the original, she is depicted as being helpless and overwhelmed with grief.

In my version, Sita runs interference with a weapon of her own, and ends up saying Jatayu from a fatal blow

The next drop is going to be re-contextualizing Raja Ravi Varma's most dynamic painting:

which translates to the "slaying of Jatayu"

The demigod Jatayu is defeated at the hands of Ravana, while trying to stop the kidnap of Sita.

Ravana has made an appearance in both anime and games. Often with only one head.

He was a master illusionist and could disguise his many heads and arms at will. A trick that he used when he kidnapped Sita

A LOT!
While the conventional mythology, as depicted in Valmiki's Ramayana or the Ramcharitamanas, portrays Sita as The Goddess who embodies ideal womanhood;
The local versions of her tale present a more humanly and compelling story!

Except for her regular appearances amongst Madhubani paintings, I really have a hard time finishing solo illustrations of Sita.
And I have no idea what the reason is!
