Is Sasayuri, the cherished Tengu general of Raiden Shogun, a man or a woman? - a thread

One of the arguments I keep seeing on my feed after the release of Raiden's teaser was about Sasayuri's gender, so I just want to put in my two cents about it.

Who's in Baal's Teaser? ⚡️

Opening with a shot of her closest allies that fell one by one, here's what we know of the tengu general Sasayuri, the oni Chiyo, and Kitsune Saiguu.

might be a reach but i kinda think the giant statue in inazuma resembles each of baal's friends.. sasayuri's wings, chiyo's likeness, saiguu's hair...

Sasayuri is mentioned in the Sangonomiya Chronicles, a book given to us the Archon Quest. She was Raiden’s “cherished tengu general” & was slain by Orobashi. Raiden eventually killed Orobashi & its remain can still be found on Yashiori Island.

the first person she lost was sasayuri, her “cherished tengu general”, in the battle against orobashi (cofcof kokomi’s god), sometime after the archon war
