Tokusatsu, if you're unfamiliar with the word, is a broad term for Japanese special effects shows that include series like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Ultraman, & even Godzilla. So if it heavily features suits, practical effects, or digital VFX, then it might be tokusatsu.

Today would have been the birthday of the legendary Shotaro Ishinomori. He is known as the creator of many Japanese superheroes series, such as Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Cyborg 009 and more.
Without him, Tokusatsu wouldn't be the same.

GI Joe and transformers seems obvious. You could replace sector 7 with the Joes easily in the Bay flicks. I'd also include Rom spaceknight in that universe since Hasbro has the rights to them, I don't know how the power rangers rights work because Sentai, but ideally that too

Bongun is ones one of Nirasawa's funniest designs in sentai, the suit was really well-translated from the concept art. I love his bulky anatomy and the red clear parts that show these parasitic creatures.
