Story goes that Kojima's son was a fan of the BN series, leading to a cameo appearance in 4 and a link-based crossover in 5 (which is super fun!). As Shinbok was only in Japan the content in 6 was cut entirely.

Shademan.EXE and Count of Groundsoaking Blood were perfect fits.
