Brawl Samus is actually Zero Mission Varia Suit. Look at the lights on the legs, chest and shoulderpads. Brawl ZSS was also designed after Zero Mission's ZSS, and then same model also got into MP3 with some changes (Brawl ZSS reveal predates MP3 release).
