Katherine Johnson was an American mathematician. Her work as a NASA engineer were critical to the success of crewed spaceflight.

What other historical women should we include in our collection?

okay this one started as "maybe inktraps will make arial less boring" and came out as... the logo for a spaceflight systems company?

Katherine Johnson (1918-2020) was a mathematician and one of the first African-American women to work for NASA. She calculated trajectories, launch windows and emergency return paths for Project Mercury, the first human spaceflight project in the US.

Probably the one with more spaceflight hardware in development and production than any other nation on Earth. Also the one that can launch vehicles without dropping them on rural towns

A precursor to the , the Shuttle-Mir missions sought to gain experience with longer duration spaceflights. The information from these flights proved to be instrumental in planning for the international cooperation and coordination necessary for the assembly of ISS

Astronaut: A person trained, equipped, and deployed by a human spaceflight program to serve as a commander or crew member aboard a spacecraft.

That robotic eye and rainbow set of teeth. What a beauty.
