Huh .. Interesting.
Coz I was C64 through the 80's. And I got my Amiga 500 (second-hand: Kickstart 1.2 + DF1 + CRT) in 1991 too. ..A friend at school used to have a Speccy, and I re-discovered those later through emulation when I had an Amiga (A1200) fast enough to do that. 😁

I was really impressed with how well it scrolls on the Speccy. Excellent looking game that Uridium. 😁

Is this a stock A600, or does it have a faster CPU?

I first got into ZX Spectrum emulation on my old A1200. I hadn't seen a real Speccy in years and it was so much fun to get to use one again. 😎 I must get a next, if I can work out how to justify the cost to my wife. 😁

Oh heck yeah.
I had a VIC, then C64. But at school, one of my friends had an Apple II, and another had a 48k Speccy.. And say what you want about 8-bit rivalries. The Speccy had some excellent games. 👍

WEC Le Mans is definitely impressive. 👍
The wee Speccy can push a lot of pixels around if you know how to coax it. 😎

And here we are! Fusions!
We got:
Stein (Speccy × Angel)
Gaia (Menkaure × Phyn)
Padparadscha (Sylas × Moon × Aloysius)

Yeah. 😁 I still find it hard to pick a VICE palette that I like. I had an early model breadbin, but most of the emulators do a later-VIC-II palette. 🤔 And the Speccy emulator I'm using has particularly vibrant colours, just to exacerbate the situation. 😎

Update: I tried the Speccy version again.
No jet in that one as far as I'm aware.
I sat in one spot for a good two or three minutes on each occasion. I had to stop because I was getting bored. 😋

Very mean - have owned all of these and liked them a lot. OK the 464 can go, BBC is mine and speccy is a gift as I have one ATM.

My Favourite C64 Software Houses No.40

The Edge

Mostly associated with the Spectrum, The Edge directly ported a few Speccy games to the 64, including the excellent Fairlight & Bobby Bearing. Other highlights include Inside Outing, Wizardry and the shoot ‘em up R.I.S.K.

The Speccy version of Green Beret is very good.
I've got to work out some more strategies for dealing with those jumping guys. I knew how to get them on other versions. But these guys just hang in the air for so long. 🤔
