Book 95: Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution

This was a pretty decent adaptation of the film. I wouldn't be opposed to reading another Pokémon manga from Machito Gomi in the future.

Book 92-94: BEASTARS Vols. 4-6

This series is going in a direction that I was not expecting, and I'm all for it! Legoshi's fights with the Shishigumi were especially brutal, and I love how it tied into his feelings about his carnivore instincts. It's so good!

Book 90: Soul Eater: The Perfect Edition Vol. 1

It's been ages since I've read Soul Eater, so re-experiencing it through this new release was really cool. While the story still holds up well, the series' fan-service is a lot more blatant than I remember. 😅

Book 88: Pokemon Adventures Collector's Edition Vol. 1

I've read the Red & Blue arc quite a few times at this point, and it still holds up really well! The series does a great job of taking the elements of the games and crafting a unique story with it!

Book 86: Harlem Beat Vol. 3

The outcome of the 3-Slam match was a bit surprising, but the build up to it was very satisfying. While Harlem Beat does have its unrealistic elements, I do like that it emphasizes strategy over mere spectacle.

Book 82: The New Gate, Vol. 2

The story still seems to be taking its time, but I'm glad that the supporting cast is slowly expanding. The battles in this volume also looked really nice!

Book 81: RWBY: The Official Manga, Vol. 1

I would honestly recommend this over Vol. 1 of the show. Bunta Kinami's art style fits surprisingly well with the series, and the manga looks fantastic during the action scenes!

Book 80: I'm a Behemoth (manga), Vol. 1

I wasn't expecting much from this manga, but it actually wasn't bad! The fan-service is a huge detractor for the series, but Aria and Tama were decent characters, so it didn't completely turn me off.

Book 79: Restaurant To Another World (manga), Vol. 1

This manga is such a great comfort read. The food looks crazy delicious, and the fantasy character reactions to it are incredibly entertaining. I should really finish the anime and read the LN. 😅

Book 77: Lupin III Vol. 7

Whenever I revisit the original Lupin manga, I'm reminded how much the franchise has changed since its inception. This volume had some fun content though, like the split personality story and the chapters with Lupin in college!

Books 75-76: Love Me, Love Me Not Vols. 1-2

The twist in this was unexpected! I love that the relationships in this series don’t feel static and have a natural growth/decline. I honestly have no idea where this is going and that makes me excited!

Book 72: Saiyuki Vol. 1
I never read/watched Saiyuki before this, and now I wish I had! The series does a great job a balancing the casts' lighthearted antics, while still delivering a action-packed story. It feels like you're reading a crazy road trip!

Book 65: Ariadne in the Blue Sky Vol. 1 (JP)

Admittedly, I haven't read much of Yagi's work, but I've been curious about Ariadne since it's debut. I like that the manga has a good balance of humor and action, and Lacile & Leana are amusing protagonists so far.

Book 63: Aho-Girl Vol. 1

Aho-Girl is definitely one of those series that's best enjoyed in small spurts. Since the gags go at a rapid fire pace, it actually took me a while to read everything. Still, I enjoy Hiroyuki's humor, so I'll be reading more of this!

Books 61-62: Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Vols. 1-2

I love the Kaguya-sama anime, so I thought it was time that I read the manga too! The absurd antics between Kaguya and Shirogane are just amazing, and the series' humor continues to bring a smile to my face.

Book 57: How Do We Relationship? Vol. 1
This was insanely cute! I love that the series focuses on the emotional aspects of Miwa and Saeko's relationship and their comfort levels with intimacy. I'd highly recommend picking it up in June!

Book 51: Not Your Idol Vol. 1

I knew this was going to be heavy, but goddamn! This manga has some great commentary on gender norms, and seeing the bits of Nina's trauma is just heartbreaking. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the next volume!

Book 50: The New Gate Vol. 1

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was! It’s a nice spin on the isekai formula, and seeing Shin gradually learn more about the world’s time-gap is pretty interesting. I’ll definitely read more of the series.

Book 47: Kengan Ashura Vol. 1 (JP)

I've been meaning to read this for a while, and it certainly lived up to the hype! The series feels pretty similar to Baki so far, but that's honestly not a bad thing imo. I also really love Daromeon's artwork!

Book 46: Dokyu Hentai HxEros Vol. 1 (JP)

Decided I should finally read this since the anime is coming out next season. Honestly, it was better than I expected. It's what you'd expect from an ecchi title in Jump SQ,but the power gimmick was still entertaining.
