I think in Wow's case it is more of an inspiration from real life animal evolution. Male's are more muscular, females are "smaller". I don't see any malicious intent in this. I mean, that game's focus is something completely else than creating some kind of masculinist propaganda

I grew up playing Wrath back in 2008, and The Ashbringer really stuck with me. It's easily one of WoW's most identifiable weapons.

I painted this in-between hospital visits in 2019, and it was such a fun escape. I learned a lot too!
