Birds make eggs in many colours & patterns. One reason is camouflage. Many birds produce speckled eggs that blend in & hide them from predators.
Birds with white eggs often lay in holes, such as puffins, owls, and woodpeckers. They are hidden so no reason to make coloured eggs.

Conceptualizing some bird tribes that Birdo will befriend. The dirt birds burrow in the ground and make nests out of mud and various plant matter. The pecker heads are like woodpeckers but so powerful they can sculpt stone and even metal.

For the second day of I@ posting a bird, here being my favorite NYC Bord (besides pigeons). Pileated Woodpeckers (Dryocopus pileatus). These guys sound like machine guns when punching holes for acorns and I j love their shape and form
