Been a while since I've done an #Artspiration post, so here's American golden age illustrator, N. C. Wyeth. I mean, holy shit.
How many loads of laundry do you do per week?

In art college we had to recreate one of our favourite works of art. I chose a study for “Christina’s World” by Andrew Wyeth. I love Wyeth‘a precision mixed with a gorgeous fluidity. This was so much fun to do :-) (both are watercolour, mine is the 1st one, Wyeth’s is the 2nd).

It’s complete. 15 1/2 hours later, I’ve finished my master study of The Lobsterman (The Doryman) by N.C. Wyeth.
Color matched by eye, no layer effects. A hard self assignment but I’m glad I did it and I’m happy with how it turned out!

One of the most prolific, influential, accomplished, adored, and studied illustrators of all-time lived with depression, self-doubt, and constant frustration.
He died tragically… and mysteriously.
