A new design available in my Threadless shop: Non-binary Moth Warrior. They are a bilateral gynandromorph.
Link in the next tweet.
Maybe it's my non-binary ass speaking but I've always loved gynandromorphic creatures but I've yet to illustrate one in a way that satisfies me. Have another attempt! Made-up oviraptorosaur, BEAM watercolours. Also testing out the thumbnail editing thing...
Partner made a sona!!! This is not a drill!!!
Gynandromorphic Cyclommattus Stag 💙💗💛🖤
I named them Talon! Tal/Tallie or just T are also acceptable nicknames 😌
They were inspired by the cardinal found that was gynandromorph
The earliest record of a gynandromorph stag beetle I can find is in the Magazine of Natural History for September 1831 (with a few dual-sexed butterflies & moths to boot!). #QueerWildlife 🏳️⚧️🪲🏳️🌈🦋 https://t.co/2XYpHaXaGn
Fun Fact: Dunkin can also turn into a Andromorph! BUT only if hes in the mood.
Commission from @JuanDelCoyote0 make sure you give him love and support!
Check out this truly extraordinary butterfly in the #McGuireCollection @FloridaMuseum. It's a mosaic gynandromorph- the right side male, the left side with mixed patches of male and female. It's probably Heraclides androgeus, but might be a hybrid between that and H. astyalus!
#TeratologyChallenge Gynandromorphy - Half male, half female, split down the middle. Prionnsa is a captain of Sir's elite guard. Design is inspired by combining adopts I got from @xiphos__ and Terminum on FA.
Northern cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis), half male, half female. The phenomenon is called bilateral gynandromorphism, a type of genetic chimerism, whereby a single animal has more than one set of DNA. 📷 Shirley Caldwell, Peer & Motz.
