#TheFullLid - 23rd September 2022 - Happy Friday! A personal dystopia in the amazing Standing Woman from @HIPsince1980 and team; a turn in the Golf Club Wasteland from @demagog_studio; trombones, baboons, and yet more wonderful Australian rap. https://t.co/9UzvHKPGgo
Warm-up #Spectember doodle, prompt Aquatic Primate. This otter-like creature is evolved from baboons, using nimble webbed hands to crack open freshwater shellfish and living in fiercely hierarchical troops of dozens. The colorful, fin-shaped rump is used for intimidation display.
She gathers energy in her hand and gracefully spins on her foot. Unleashing a Ki Whip to slap all five of these baboons in a row until the real one would be whipped with a harsh, electrifying slash.
Or worse, grabbed and constricted by it. https://t.co/hSrjXDmCOv
@JayMD1106 This looks like the updated version of predatory baboons in after man, i love it!
just a little doodle of a child steven with a doofy smile bc baby baboons have ridiculous buck teeth
@KingRexy328 Baboons/mandrills in general can make for some gnarly looking creature designs. Can't really recall a lot but these guys immediately come to mind
Greater Monkey Imp
Larger cousin of the smaller monkey imp, based on gelada baboons.
The spines still sting but they are much less potent. Its main weapons are its teeth and its strength.
So I'm a little scared of the eyes I drew on this Baboon for the 5e SRD... I also remember reading that baboons can run at speeds up to 30mph which is terrifying and something you should definitely incorporate into your games if you run this XD

Inspired by remembering this: A few years ago at the Auckland Zoo, I heard a lot of loud hysterical laughing from a big group of kiddies (about 8 years old) on a school zoo trip. I rounded the corner to see them in stitches over two baboons going at it doggy style. [1/3]
New studies show baboons, zebras and cows once looked more like dinosaurs.
… Just kidding! #AprilFools
But in all seriousness, these terrifying drawings by Paleoartists @cmkosemen and @thejohnconway are making a point… 🧵
@Tril0bite This is African Crowned Amongus. (Coronaamongus africanis). Found in the eastern savannahs, they occupy a similar niche to Baboons, scavenging for food using their visor arms. They live in groups called "Crews" and do tasks together to gather food watch for predators.

On June 12, 1920, Russian born French surgeon Serge Voronoff (1866-1951), aka “the monkey gland man”, first transplanted thin slices of testicles from chimpanzees and baboons into a human scrotum. His rejuvenation technique was very popular before being debunked by 1935.
