this very revelation is what causes shinji to hesitate in neutralizing the target. bardiel has clear, murderous intent, however. either he dies, or unit-03's pilot could die. gendo overrides unit-01's pilot's control to the dummy plug system's. (3/7)

Personally, i just love Bardiel. It's my favorite angel so far, both because of it's importance in the story and design. Ironically, Eva Unit-03 is my least favorite Unit of all.

What if Asuka's eye wasnt the only thing that got messed up in the bardiel fight.....what if she lost a few limbs.....or maybe got a weird angel infection......
