Languore d’inverno:
nel mondo di un solo colore
il suono del vento.
Matsuo Bashō, Haiku
#ScrivoDellinverno
@tiger I write about this in my book, Dragon Ball Culture Volume 2. The original Chinese is bājiāo-shàn, and Japanese is bashō-sen, which is often translated into English as “banana palm fan," So I surmise the localizers called it the Bansho Fan because they felt it's similar to banana.
Así quedó la primera portada del cómic. Se llama Spring is Passing, que es parte de un haiku de Matsuo Bashō:
行春や 鳥啼き魚の 目は泪
"Spring is passing.
The birds cry, and the fishes’ eyes are
With tears."

"Le son de la cloche s’apaise,
le parfum des fleurs
frappe le soir"

Bashō Rides a spring sakura balloon as a black cat, will she get a new idea from it for her haiku?

In Japan, Bashōnosei are banana tree spirits that make faces appear in banana leaves. They scare humans by assuming their forms and suddenly appearing next to them. One famously mocked a monk, asking “Can even inanimate plants attain buddhahood?” #FolkloreThursday @FolkloreThurs
