Iobates sent Bellerophon on more deadly missions. He confronted the warriors of Solymi, the Amazons & even the army of Iobates. Bellerophon was victorious in each battle. King Iobates recognized the hero as more than human and married his daughter with him.

When the hero spotted the fire-breathing monster realized that he couldn't come close it. He put a block of lead on his spear and dropped it into Chimera’s mouth. The beast’s fire breath melted the lead, blocking its air passage and suffocated to death. 🔥

The legendary hero, Bellerophon, was born when his mother Eurymede, wife of king Glaucous, was seduced by the god of the sea, Poseidon. Bellerophon's brave journey began when accidentally killed his brother and he had to leave his home.

Bellerophon (Ancient Greek: Βελλεροφῶν) is a hero of Greek myth, who defeated the monster Chimera, and captured the horse Pegasus using Athena's charmed bridle.
The Gods disowned him for trying to get into Mount Olympus flying on Pegasus.
