🧵Notes on my series ‘Songs from the Garden’ on @exchgART
Many know I paint skulls. But skulls are only a field where I can exp with texture and paint, without having to much of a figurative “person/face” emotions to distract away from shape, texture and brushstrokes.

I drew TatsuRei yesterday with my chibi brushstrokes. Although I'm not very good at drawing, I don't think it's too bad. Blue moon and bright star, what should I do next? 💙❤️
..hahaa. I'm just saying for fun. It's time to study~

I want to share with you my new collection «Hand-strokes» 🖌
I do one stroke, then another stroke, and then many, many more brushstrokes.
This collection is pure inspiration, a state where my hand is controlled not by my brain, but by my soul.

[4 Last Mess]
Although I did draw this last page as a mess with the stains and the brushstrokes. I lost all my creativity on the names. #FNAF #michaelafton #cryingchild #VanessaFNAF #gregoryfnaf #watercolour #watercolor

I’m Erik, a non-binary artist and equine bodyworker! I also do biomechanically focused training based on classical dressage. No big focus in art, but I do love painting backgrounds and focusing on brushstrokes.
The Spanish artist #CristinaBanBan will hang her paintings on the walls of #Perrotin Paris! 🔥
The show showcases her painting practice—a place where rapid experiments in expression define forms that emerge and withdraw from the canvases amidst a rapid aura of brushstrokes.
Nothing prepared me for how breath taking Francis Bacon Man and Beast exhibition at @royalacademy is. I walked around in a daze. The figures, the emotion, the brushstrokes. Crikey.
I created the "micro" edits because the original large artworks look far different in real life than as a thumbnail on a phone.
The perspective shift helps see the thousands of brushstrokes.

Some weird and new things with this one with the overlays and brushstrokes. It was fun! I TRIED to forego line art...but I couldn't help myself.

I always appreciate the beautifully textured brushstrokes. Plus who could ever deny the adorbs k-bombs! And is that a crescent moon I spy? Lovely painting by Vanessa Stockard.

These Hands of Myrrh by Scott Ferry is a highly inventive and uniquely spiritual collection that have a gentle and wise humanity, populated by the living and by ghosts alike with sober urgency in assured, masterful brushstrokes. Review by Kevin Ridgeway https://t.co/31AvHfF2HV

Arnheim - a generative algorithm for producing pictures made with grammatical brushstrokes.

When I come back in to paint over the ‘mess’ I love the challenge of thinking about every brush stroke and making sure they are confident, clean & work with the background. Anyone who has my art knows all about my brushstrokes.
Here's a little pinup I've been poking away at over the last week. I've been trying to develop a painting style with more confident and visible brushstrokes. I think it might help me get more paintings finished, since I'll be able to leave them a little looser:
We have vintage artworks that are perfect for the upcoming Fall season. 🍂 Landscape, Bridge, Huntingdon Valley (ca.1915–1916) painting by Henry Lyman Saÿen shows his signature abstraction, bright colors & rapid brushstrokes.

Haven't done one in a bit so here's a quick timelapse of Carver just hanging out on a rooftop.
I like that CSP let's me record these. I just wish it captured more than just the "brushstrokes." A LOT of the process is lost because you can't see how much I use the Lasso Tools. 🤷♂️
Experimenting with a reduced range of tones to sum up remarkable lives in broad brushstrokes.
