Quick sketch of Quasi, the main character in Sally Cruikshank's 1975 magnum opus Quasi at the Quackadero. This was eleven and a half minutes well spent.

The last few weeks I've been editing 's brilliant book about Georgian satirists, which describes this 1814 Cruikshank print... in which the king of Sweden says '...the Hinges want a little Russia Oil'.
