It took me all fuckin day to make all the deformers and set up the hierarchies for this model but FINALLY my most hated part of the process is out of the way.

Hopefully now that I overcame my biggest roadblock, work on this thing will come much faster

Today I counted the deformers for this and there's over 300. Most of them are nested physics.

設定したらメッシュがパカっと割れてしまったんだけど、MagicaVirtualDeformerのReductionSettingをMergeTriangleDistanceからVertexDistanceに変えたら解決した
なんとなく下がよさそうと思って適当にやったけどまぁそうなるか

eu vejo mt modelo fazendo uma cara de ahegao nao intencional quando o olho ta meio fechado, vc pode remediar isso facilmente fazendo o movimento x e y do olho num rotation deformer e colocando um warp deformer como parent, keyando ele no eye open

I struggled to sleep but I did have so much fun working on Live2D Kana!!! Did a quick face pose just to get an idea of what the rig can do. Still have to fix some deformer parenting and then correct the bone stuff but overall it is getting there!!!

First I used the Extrude along curve option in Maya to create a base, then I used the Deform > Nonlinear > Bend deformer to make the skirt circular

More progress!!! Still, manually make the mesh cause it's what I do as a modeler even in 3D. I hope that by next week I should get the mesh stuff ready so I can begin the deformers and bone rig set up and then parameters and finally physics and extras.

Luckily I know a bit about modeling in tris, it will take me a while to mesh everything since I want to do it manually for the most part by choice but at least I have awareness of how to rig a Live2D model, even the deformer and rig hierarchy.
