Amon is one of my favorite "real" demons. The Dictionnaire prints are classics and copying them served SMT well but Doi's Devilman Amon arms ruin the composition and look nonsensical. There's too much owl; the print is owl head (likely w/) fur all over. Tragic in an annoying way. https://t.co/GqsM5D1f3g

'Although Jacques Collin de Plancy’s Dictionnaire infernal was first published in 1818 to much success, it is the fabulously illustrated final edition of 1863 which secured the book as a landmark in the study and representation of demons.'

Adrammelech, Amduscias, Asmodeus and Lucifer are the first four artworks from 'Inferno in colours', a collection of the most striking creatures I found in Collin de Plancy's 'Dictionnaire Infernal'.
