1stpic. Im happy where the lighting is placed and faded, it looks really good, but is not the mood I'm aiming for. As a 'Colour dodge base' its fine but is a bit exagerated and i still need to do highlights.
2ndpic. Much better, now i can add highlights in a 'glow dodge layer'

I have a lot of characters with large noses, some with hooked noses and none of them are evil. I love drawing exagerated features and I don't think I need to be bullied into drawing every character looking the same as eachother.
