compare XP's tileset to VX era or MV
yeah sure xp was desaturated but I think it makes the tileset blends well to the surroundings.

MV and VX era kinda felt garish/bold. I think the more realistic texture it had, the more uncanny it looked with grid/non parallax maps

Personally, I prefer it to the original Trilogy and I'll go into detail as to why.
But overall, definitely a more cohesive product and I honestly "felt" more from it with the changes they made.

Being in the tail with the bulge is particularly my favorite part of cell vore~

kinda miss it when the perception of anime was "colorful gigantic haired schoolgirls with garish clothes". Modern character designs are so "safe soft and restrained" and felt like it's afraid to push further zzzz

Ren is probably still my favorite character but I felt she doesn’t have romantic chemistry with Alain.

These three are kinda on their own leagues and could be the main characters of their own stories.
