Suspenseful & surprising, raised all stakes, esp for me as a reader. Loved Tolvan’s badassery & reveal of the true depths of her feelings for Chelli, but I was LIVID at by arc’s end—as her memory-wipe manipulation felt genuinely invasive & evil!
