To begin, I quickly ran through 8 variations, trying different helmets, armor styles and basic colors. I played a bit with different weapons but ultimately it's not something I wanted to focus on. 5 was my favorite!

Art of my characters in a game over the last few months or so
The cat helmet is the same character regardless of outfit, but her normal fit in leather is a nod to Celty.
I just like cat ears, the color yellow and motorcycle helmets, so she resembles Celty on accident.

like ok, these helmets aren’t JUST helmets, they also form the line of the brow. But they’re also still PART of the face, most transformers can’t take them off. In 2D the solution is you can just go screw it and move em anyway

There are hundreds of individual properties; constellations, helmets, eyepieces, celestial bodies, ruling planets, armor, elements, and zodiac signs too, of course. Each piece had to be vectorized, colored, and assembled in place to be readied for procedurally generated wizardry.
