In Eltra, the elven militaries/cavalries are like a mix of dragoons and hussars
Hello #PortfolioDay
I'm Kaxen, an illustrator, sculptor, and seamster.
My work focuses on fantasy, pop culture, and history, from fabulous unicorns to alcoholic heirs of doomed estates to beautiful hussars.
The 3rd Hussars made several significant charges at Elchingen alongside the 10th Regiment of Chasseurs à Cheval, who are depicted here by the artist Alphonse Lalauze, escorting Austrian prisoners in the aftermath of the battle.
Now we are going to leave the Balkans and Delier and we will go north of Serbia, into Hungary (Today's Hungary, Romania) where we find Hungarian Hussars...

not to be a patriot but polish soldiers (hussars) back in the day outsold with the wings
To support them, each wing had at their disposal exceptional cavalry leaders: Ney and his hussars were able to turn multiple redoubts covering Heddesdorf while Richepanse would be delivering a series of charges that turned the Austrian left orderly retreat into a decisive rout.
The 1st image is from a 1915 print and captioned "The German Uhlans, Dragoons, and Hussars compare well with their British foes and with Cossack, Cuirassier, and Rough Rider." One of the pictures from the same series has an interesting Belgian "technical" https://t.co/QSj9QlFDlX
im OBSESSED with the polish winged hussars who had these huge wings on their backs (and sometimes on their horses) for no reason whatsoever other than aesthetic purposes probably
