OC I tried to go towards a more anime-style thing but it still looks kinda webtoony. Can't pick apart what makes it that way. I need less gradients and more hard shapes maybe? Or the linework. I'll continue figuring out my style as I sketch stuff out.

I think I did what I set out to do in the beginning of the year, which was draw /more/ in a piece. Commissions really helped with that, I feel. I think my shading improved, and by the end of it I think I know what direction I wanna go with my linework. <:3 I love my commissioners

I really don't see whats so subjective about it

Not only did it misinterpret parts of the drawing, it completely eliminated all of the awesome gesture and linework. This is actual art mutilation. Please look closer at these.

Yoshinari's illustrations on the other hand has its own stylization. Character designs gave em such a unique look, and the shading looked great plus the linework... I can't even describe it but it has that unique and eye catching look to it. Same can be applied in his animations.
