New ep! We're going down the rabbit hole w/ author Jason R. Lady () talking Excalibur “Curiouser and Curiouser.” Meggan has a good time, Brian thinks he has a bad time, and old enemies find happy endings. Plus Kurt gets something cut off.

Prior to this scene, we get another featuring Captain Britain drinking himself to death. When Meggan, in her insecurity, is unable to reach him, she wonders “Have I been fooling myself all these months, thinking you loved me? I couldn’t bear that hurt. I’d rather be dead.” 7/14

When Meggan said she needed a hot bath, this wasn’t at all what she had in mind 🌋 🛁

Rogue is cool and all, but if you're going with power mimicry/duplication, I think one that's too often overlooked is Meggan

Latest on talks supersex: “In light of the Brian/Meggan/Kurt love triangle that's been a through-line of the book, we have to particularly spotlight the visual depiction of Meggan reaching out to Brian in Kurt’s voice.” -

Building on this, Claremont and (especially) Davis would later use this aspect to symbolize Brian’s sense of being put-upon with Excalibur, of the inconvenience and intrusion the new characters represent to his nest, and possibly even the threat to his relationship w Meggan. 4/10

Latest on talks form: “I’m not sure how I feel about the idea of Meggan having a true form. I don’t know if there’s a good answer. But I almost wish the answer was—this is a question that doesn’t make sense to ask.” -

New ep! Talkin' return of Colin McKay, what makes Rachel Summers an amazing(ly complex) power fantasy & if Meggan should have a true form in “Colin the Barbarian,” w/ PhD candidate & lifelong Excali-fan Alexa Lee-Hassan ()!

Panel 64: Meggan’s anticipation and enthusiasm are shown here as a literal inability to keep her feet on the ground. So good. -

The Pod has described Meggan as being fairy-like. However, it's Brian who's a half-fairy, child of Otherworld. Some fairies (like Roma) have pointed ears. Is part of Meggan's transformation not about mimicking Brian's desires but instead his species, adapting to that environment?

Latest on talks fantasies: “Kurt always talks about rescuing damsels in distress. Yet when he has this sexy dream about Meggan, she's a partner who matches him. It’s clearly egotistical. But he’s also dreaming about equality.” - https://t.co/iTmJtfQyuZ

Just realized that even though Nightcrawler and Meggan evoke fairy elements, technically Brian is the fairy in "Excalibur." The Welsh/Brythonic term for Fairyland is Annwn, "The Otherworld." Brian's father is from Otherworld, so Brian is half-fairy.

I have drawn Kitty and Meggan a handful of times but I'm not sure I'be drawn Brian yet ( at least not in a LONG time )
