I can certainly see and get on board with the influences of Murnau’s “Nosferatu”, Cocteau’s “La Belle et la Bete” and the work of Gustave Dore (see my prior tweet for my ramblings/video on his illustrations) that encapsulate the ‘adult’ fairytale tone and texture.
