I love Pogo Joe.
This is such a good illustration of how to take a game that's good for short bursts (Q*Bert), expand on it, and make it a game that has the right kind of play-time on a home computer.

Hot Head! An enemy whose head is as hot as it's name is obvious. It spews fire from it's snout, and can shoot out fireballs as well. If you're looking for the Every Q*Bert Character Project, you're in the wrong place. Sorry.

Me when building my RetroPie: I need some classic arcade games. Q*Bert's a classic, right?
Me later: Q*Bert now lives in my head rent-free.

Next up I decided to redesign Hothead
I chose o take its original design over its current one cause imo original is better, current is just Q*bert on fire
I also decided to try and have it live up to its name and have it with a fire tail and be angry

Oh yeah.. That is totally Pogo Joe.
I love that game. With many arcade games we wish the C64 could have just a passable version. But this is like Q*Bert, only much much better. (IMHO of course.) And has gorgeous cartoon-y sprites. 👍
