Happy birthday, Hayao Miyazaki sensei! Your food work is always so spot on and a big inspiration for me. These are some pieces I did a while back of some iconic foods from his movies.

But man, looking back at these, these could def get more refined 😆

Was supposed to draw their depart, but after finishing lineart I thought again maybe the twins should look older (oh!) and went by sketching a refined version but later just thought damn it I’m not doing lineart again and gave up, so this is the sketch as a bonus👇

Finally watched Look Back
It was very very good, also exactly the type of film I love.
Beautiful visual with great sound design adding a rich layer of texture to it. The story is as refined as its line arts, more thoughts slowly came to me as I left the cinema. Really enjoyed it.

I woke up early for a color study.
Repurposed an older sketch and refined the linework. My focus is to start using more colors by taking influence from other eastern artists (China,Japan,Korea)
