factoring in that the proprietary software that actually generated the roms on the consumer's end is even harder to come by, i'm left missing a lot of context for how the pre-patched roms i *did* find even wound up online to begin with.
Following the beginners tutorials on Fire Emblem roms.
This is super interesting. Drawing portraits is really fun

It is gross that 3 of these release the same day and one the day before. How dare all of you.
Only buying FEWTH & AI 2 on release, though. Not spending $80 on a bunch of ROMs when I am going to be busy with a Warriors & an Uchikoshi game.
for people mad about sonic games being taken off steam, you can still play sonic 1 forever, sonic 2 absolute, and sonic 3 AIR since they are just roms. For people that REALLY wanna buy official versions, sonic mega collection is like 12-15 dollars on ebay
i would literally catch one asap and use it as my main 😭 they were near the second gym i think!!
also when editing roms was a thing i was into, i made mareep my starter 😆 https://t.co/pueFwZ8Vod
Like, I've played a few Hack ROMs and Fan Games, but I really wished I could've used my RadRed team outside of, you know, Radical Red https://t.co/Gh1ym7wPtW
@exceptionsplays @SergioGrazzini0 @Muskelsmurf @Nintendork9 @pablo_0151 @damgentemp @SuperMargaBros @billysastard1 @JiswaPROJECT @RetroBoyJon @RetroMayhem81 And then there's the Championship Sprint ROMs..
(Same game, different tracks.)
I keep flip-flopping on which one I prefer. 😁
@sonic_exe_curse SYNIC!! Synic.SMS is a demon-like entity with a very strong emotional attachment to Sonic, especially his 8-bit games. He despises the thought of "his games" being toyed with and broken, and so will infect copies and ROMs of his games in which glitches or exploits are used, [1/?]

20th anniversary this year it sure would be nice if both the PS1 and GBA games could receive playable English translated roms

... don't want to have 2 different roms for the same game and be forced to beat it 2 different times.

Within the Marvel Super Heroes VS Street Fighter arcade roms, a possible holdover from the location test version is still present. Depending on the game region, the image caption may be in English or Japanese.

As far as I'm aware there's no gameplay differences between the JP and EN ROMs, but we are missing out on the translated cutscenes. They're good.
Some old NES mockups are becoming real ROMs thanks to the amazing NAW software by @bitinkstudios

Found an odd little lost piece of media, 'UnZip' by IPC Magazine, feat. content from New Scientist, Vox, and NME (1995). For a few years in the mid 90s, it seemed like the future of magazines were interactive CD-ROMs with a surreal melange of various then-contemporary aesthetics.
