So the Archie Sonic comics have a fighting tournament arc, with very casual references to Honey from Fighting Vipers and Segata Sanshiro. It also eventually does a Mega Man crossover that ropes in Street Fighter, Breath of Fire, Golden Axe, Okami, Viewtiful Joe and many more!
