A large Eurypterus caught in a wave on a Silurian sea (420 MYA). Commonly called "sea scorpions" certain species of this group were the largest arthropods that ever lived with Jaekelopterus est. to reach up to 8.5 feet long. #Drawinovember #DrawDinovember2021 #paleoart
Look, all I’m saying is the 70’s Silurians need a proper comeback in Doctor Who. The Series 13 Sontarans look great, why can’t the Silurians look great too?! #doctorwho #DoctorWhoFlux
Answer, it's series of theca on stipes of graptolites! Coming from famed Dobb's Lin location in Borders of Scotland (aka Ordovician-Silurian boundary)
The Tumblagooda also includes one body fossil, 4. the Silurian arthropod Kalbarria. I have a giant soft spot for arthropods so this one had to go in. The simplified Diplichnites trackways I've drawn here probably belong to something similar to Kalbarria too.

#LagerstatteoftheWeek The English, Silurian Herefordshire Lagerstätte preserves 3-Dimensional fossils with soft tissues. Normal fossil preparation methods would destroy these fragile beings leading to computers to recreate them digitally.

The Silurian saw plants and animals emerge on land. Marine biodiversity recovered after the end Ordovician mass extinction. Huge coral reefs developed and fish evolved jaws. Very high CO2. Supercontinent Gondwana dominated the SH. No Ordovician on my chart! #EarthHistory 🌎🐟

Silurians oh my!
Finished my #DoctorWho season 7 rewatch. Its such a long time since I'd seen Silurians or Ambassadors it felt like I was watching for the first time, which was nice.
My favourite is Inferno but they're all strong stories & I really like the quite heavy seriousness to the season.
@Greebohobbes I could do the silurian but the dinosaur is a bit of a challenge! I'm not one to shy away from a challenge though. I'll add it to the list, it will likely end up resembling a green version of Dino!
