Finally, I managed to beat a Pokémon nuzlocke! Rather appropriately, I did this in FireRed.

There's something about the 2D titles that just...hit differently. Granted, I constantly fast-forwarded in the emulator to prevent the game being too much a slog.

It really needs to be discussed how IMPRESSIVELY bad at hype and marketing Konami is. They somehow managed to take the revival of the SH brand, what should be one of THE most hype things in years, and found a way to make it feel like a depressing, frustrating slog to get to.
