Yes its true. Ian Flynn has confirmed (yet again) that Sonic Spinball is OFFICIALLY CANON according to Sega of Japan 😁 This is a small victory for us SatAM/Archie fans but the new goal, is bringing back the Freedom Fighters in something...even if its their early designs!!

Oshima mentions how he actually contributed the design for some of the maps in the game. "I was also responsible for the design of pinball maps on Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball."

Oshima additionally said on Twitter that he actually liked the SatAM TV series, calling it quite good.
