His horns/'eyes' are based on Leucochloridium paradoxum, a parasite that infects snail eyes and makes them super funky. His stinger can now also shoot goop, and he got some sweet boots.

I'm cool with the Stinkfly design because it's inspired by the earlier original design. Ofcourse I prefer the Original Series Stinkfly design. Although this makes me kinda wish we saw more of the earlier designs as the reboot designs. Would've been an interesting concept 🤔
