I'm in unfamiliar territory here but for E's fantastic suggestion I had to try my hand at a fish from memory. In order to save my blushes I've gone relatively simple with a Swordfish from memory!!

For this week's I started to draw a Yellowhead Jawfish. I saw this fish for the first time at the aquarium and watched them build their burrows for longer than was probably necessary.

For today's I chose to play with again and add another set of jaws to my growing cartoon diagram. Here are the jaws of Neoclinus blanchardi, the sarcastic fringehead!

All dogs are actually wolves! So for the doggo themed I added to my growing diagrams of fish jaws with Anarrhichthys ocellatus, a wolf eel!

An old sketch of an American eel for the Thanksgiving-themed as eels were among the fish eaten by the Wampanoag people of Massachusetts. While eels were once abundant along the Atlantic coast, they - like other migratory fish - were impacted by dams.
