1901 illustration for 'Quality Street' (a play by J.M. Barrie). The artist is Hugh Thomson (Ireland, 1860-1920). The play is still performed today, but the tinned toffees & chocolates named after it may be more famous. The playwright better know for 'Peter Pan'.
