Tsaidegars are young women tasked with maintaining shrines and votive markers scattered along the ancient highways. They are honored visitors, and their weapons are *mostly* ceremonial.

This work was dedicated to the Go'o Shrine in Kyoto, which had shared its patron deity with the shrine onboard Takao.

A bronze Roman sword belt decoration dated 3rdC AD. The inscription reads, LG X FR FEL: belonging to the Tenth Legion Fretensis Felix (the fortunate). The provenance is unclear, possibly lost in battle or a votive offering of some kind. Now in the Israel museum, Jerusalem.
