well people never really know stuff like that. its the same thing to be said with the wendigo. people dont actually know that wendigos are feral cannibalistic spirits that are more humanoid instead of the hulky antlered creatures we all know and love.

The Wendigo. It is gaunt, it's skin desiccated eyes and mouth sunken and blue because it's heart is pure ice. A Wendigo is never sated as it grows proportionately to its meal so that it is forever hungry. It can traverse long distances in an instance and can turn its victims.🐻🤨
