Continuing my new series inspired by the CA wildfires. For weeks ashes rained down from the skies, the air became hazardous and all I could do was stay home and dream about being able to just breathe again.

The haze out there today, such as it is, looks to be primarily smoke from the West Coast wildfires. Map for 300 PM EDT.

As of 1:00pm, the NYC Metro is smack in the middle of smoke which has advected all the way here from California wildfires. The sky is hazy and white, and you may even be able to smell the smoke in some areas.

This flaming behemoth can be seen through large smoke clouds during rampaging wildfires. Some speculate that this creature only appears to feed on the flames caused by humans and their affinity for destruction.
