did you know that the R-type franchise is very based on Shoji Kawamori's super dimension fortress macross? for example the flying warship from level 3 is based on the zentradi space warships that appeared in the series.

Sometimes I think about how great Veffidas in Macross 7 is.
She's a Zentradi drummer for the main rock band and even though she has MAYBE 10 lines of dialog in the entire 49-episode series, she's in just about every episode, usually just drumming away.

I so can't wait to see what some hard core sci-fi artists come up with. Gonna be some cool paint-jobs from other famous sci-fi fighters flying around. Im gonna paint mine to resemble the Zentradi fighters from Robotech :P
