#FontsOnFriday Love antiquarian sources, but they sometimes contradict. From 1810 source, Sudbury, St. Gregory, Suffolk font cover was “adorned w/ the four lambs ..., symbols of the evangelists & angels w/shields w/ different family arms." But 1791 print does not show this. 😪

Today we remember the Haitian revolution which began on 21st August 1791. The revolution was a revolt by the enslaved Africans in the French colony of Saint Domingue. The revolution was most successfully lead by commander Toussaint L'Ouverture.🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹

A difference engine is an automatic mechanical calculator traditionally computed by hand. In 1822 Babbage proposed automating it to reduce errors. After he died, his son completed this part.
