From 1839 to 1843, James Clark Ross lead an expedition to carry out a magnetic survey of the Antarctic region. During one particularly harrowing moment, captured below by John E. Davis, 2nd Master aboard HMS Terror, the two ships had to force their way through the pack ice.

Day 1843: Lines 2! I realized there was a lot more wrong with the initial pass than I had planned for. It's going to take a bit more work to fix it, but I think with one or two solid nights of work I can do it! I know I'll be able to pull out a good result in the end! :D
