Redemption arcs aren't about being forgiven, its about the characters having their worldview, the way they see it all challenged and go through a journey to being a stronger & better person out of it. Whether that be for themselves, for others or for the world around them.
One thing I hate, when people say all Dragon Ball’s story was is Goku getting a new form to beat the villain.

@Zhane_Star The entire Sonic the Fighters/Champion Arc is still prob in my top 5 arcs even with the IDW stuff.
FIll with lot of strengths of Archie with the implementation of other canons, character moments, great expressions and paneling, and just an overall fun vibe.
