I might be playing my very first dnd game fairly soon and this good girl is gonna be my character.
Naturally, also included: colonialism and the nature of evil

The Rise of Border Imperialism https://t.co/WggmYAsuiY Over a century after the original Scramble for Africa, European leaders are today imposing new forms of colonialism on the continent in the shape of militarized border controls.
The struggles of our heroes past shall not be in vain, for as we have risen from the shackles of colonialism, so shall we continue to rise through collective efforts to make Nigeria better

“By manipulating surface of polyester prints using mixed media techniques of collage and embroidery I explore concepts of past and present-day colonialism, and notions of provenance as it relates to origin, authorship and ownership.”—Shervone Neckles, Grenadian artist based in NY
Is Canada some type of utopia? No. Colonialism fucked up the whole globe and white ppl gonna white.
But their kids can go to school without active shooter drills starting in Pre-K and they don't have to crowdfund cancer treatments.
Meet the Artist! Fallon Simard is an Anishinaabe artist and filmmaker from Couchiching First Nation, in Treaty #3 Territory. Their work examines state violence perpetrated on to Indigenous bodies within a context of colonialism. @beaverhall Sept 19 to 23rd. #biartsfestival
“The term ‘settler colonialism’ is too polite and tepid for the kind of brutal and quotidian violence that Indigenous and Black people in the US and Canada experience.”

Another comic I really enjoyed was Leong's Prism Stalker! Its poetic and thoughtful sci-fi focused on colonialism, identity, and adapting to the thoroughly alien. (Also has a rad leading lady!) Please go buy the trade so we can get more of this! 👽✨
3] A protégé of #DiegoRivera, Arnautoff wasn't an apologist for slavery & colonial expansion. A #leftist, his George Washington murals were a protest of slavery & colonialism—all while honoring Washington as one of the #FoundingFathers of the #UnitedStates https://t.co/IJl5GYn0Gr

9. Favorite villain
Dagoth Ur. He fights the Septim Empire's encroaching colonialism and also the Tribunal's corrupt theocracy, but he grotesquely transforms the people of Morrowind to do it. He's fascinating, and also terrifying. And also mostly naked, which I can respect.
