Sketch and WIP recap. I start out in tones and build my light up from that. I also flip my canvas 300 thousand times to check consistency. I integrate the sketch as I go, merge all layers to one (I prefer minimal layers), do final edits and floaty glows and extra bits last.

I kinda dig how Pyro and Mythra got two separate numbers, the same way Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard did. I like that consistency.

I think we just have to accept it as typical CP art inconsistency. The Ski Lodge has many of these too. The door to the Pond should be on the building’s left, but this shot shows no door.

The front door, windows, and ceiling don’t match at all either when you think about it.
