"Little Mangy One" is a Lebanese folktale about three goat brothers named Siksik, Mikmik, & Jureybon. The first two get devoured by a hyena, but Jureybon gores the hyena with his horns & cuts open his belly to free his brothers.

I’m joining
Day1, Fool.
The man wears a mask that is a traditional comical Japanese character. They say it’s “Hyottoko.” This mask means fool or clown.

-Oh no, that tale again, Flora?! Why do you like it so much?
- A good story needs one fool, but in this one we have two...a Macleod warrior and a delicate fairy... couldn't they be more incompatible? That's why I love it!

First piece for Folktale Week 2022! My favorite Chelm story for the prompt “fool.”
For Isaac Bashevis Singer’s retelling of how these fools thought they trapped the moon in a barrel, read more here: https://t.co/jDdF3G2VSn

no 1:Fool. Make a hole in a hollow pumpkin. Put seeds inside. Baboon tries to grab the seeds but his clenched fist wont come out. He is caught! Alt versions of the tale - a hole in the ground and salt, or a hollow coconut tied to a tree.

I’ve never done one of these before but as I am not about most of the week, I decided to combine imagery (hope this is ok ☺️).
The girl wept under a as the in the joker’s looked on mischievously.

The first day of and the first prompt is FOOL. I felt drawn to the optimism of the fool in the tarot. Representing freedom, spontaneity & adventure 💫 The fool is also thought to be reckless, distracted & naive… But let’s focus on the positive bits shall we?!
