@Claylex1 strikeman used to be married, however his wife has sadly passed, leaving him to raise his son on his own. Her passing did eventually lead to him becoming the hero he is now, but he still carries the grief of losing his wife.
There's 2 thing's everyone forgets about Injustice Superman.

In my mind her child self represents the last time she was truly happy, shortly before everything went south in her family. The kid has no idea of the avalanche of grief and hardship coming her way, but her older self also knows first hand that she'll turn out just fine.
